Land for Sale & Development Opportunities

The Municipality of Souris-Glenwood may offer municipal-owned properties for sale from time to time. Available properties may include residential, commercial, industrial, or development lands.

Interested purchasers are encouraged to review available properties and contact the Municipal Office with any questions.

Properties with Set Prices

Properties with a price established by Council are available for purchase at the listed price.

How to Purchase

1. Complete an Offer to Purchase Agreement.
2. Submit the completed agreement with a deposit equal to 2% of the purchase price.
3. Municipal staff will process the sale and coordinate legal documentation.

The purchaser is responsible for:

• Purchase price
• Applicable GST
• Land transfer fees
• Municipal legal costs related to the transaction

Properties Open to Offers

Some municipal properties are available for purchase through a public offer process.

How to Submit an Offer

1. Complete an Offer to Purchase Agreement.
2. Submit the agreement with a deposit equal to 2% of the offered purchase price.
3. Council will review the offer and determine whether to accept or reject it.

If an offer is accepted, the deposit will be applied toward the purchase price. If an offer is not accepted, the deposit will be returned.

The purchaser is responsible for:

• Purchase price
• Applicable GST
• Land transfer fees
• Municipal legal costs related to the transaction

If multiple offers are received for the same property, the Municipality may proceed with a public sealed bid process in accordance with Policy 25-2024.
