Past President - Scarecrow Days Chair: Loretta Turner
Loretta is a 4th generation resident of Souris-Glenwood. After graduating from Souris School, she spent a few years away. She returned in 2011 with her husband Lon and 3 children.
Together Loretta & Lon opened LT's Corner Store on July 13, 2017 and continue to operate with the support of their amazing staff.
She has been an active member of the Chamber since the store opened, beginning as Secretary for 2 years, followed by President for 4. While she enjoyed those roles, she is looking forward to changing things up as Scarecrows Days Chairperson in 2024. The Scarecrow Days event collaborates with many businesses and community groups which is a great chance to connect with the community. In 2024 we have the unique opportunity to combine the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation with the event. It is the hope of the committee that a new community tradition is born with Scarecrow Day's help the first year.
